Follow up on seventh inning
The seventh inning stretch first began when United States President Taft was attending a baseball game many years ago. You may not know this, but President Taft was a farely large man (he actually got stuck in a bathtub in the white house during his presidency). So being crammed in a little bitty baseball stadium seat, by the end of the seventh inning he naturally felt the need to stand up, stretch, and get a little snack. As he stood up, the crowd stood up to honor him. Thus, we have the seventh inning stretch. I guess you learn something new everyday right!!!
