Friday, June 09, 2006qt - quality timeWell, it's been a while since we've blogged. Let me say, it's been busy! I am the proud owner of a Virginia t-shirt - Lea got it for me while back in Virginia for her cousin's graduation. I am really looking forward to the next few weeks. Lea has a great schedule for the next week or so (she's been so busy lately with work and travel, so it will be great for her to have some days off and it will be awesome to be able to see her more!). In a couple weeks, we are going back to Nebraska for a long weekend, that will really be great - as she said yesterday, we'll get to see each other morning and night. Let's see - we got my wedding band, we're working on hers, a bunch of other wedding stuff going on. Ya know what, no, I don't want to talk about the wedding planning stuff in this blog...I want to talk about Lea. Lea really makes me feel desired and wanted - it is so special to me how she wants to spend time with me, likes to sit by me at dinner, and so on. Last night we were talking about this documentary that she has seen before and was saying I should watch it...she then said, "I'll watch it with you if you want." I love those little things about her - what that felt like to me was, "I love spending time with you." Lea and I have talked alot about our main love languages, and also how my primary love languages become more important to her, and vice-versa. Well, quality time is a big one for Lea. And while time together with people I care about has always been important to me (even though it didn't score #1 on my little test :-) ), it has just shot through the roof in the last several months. I love when we get quality time together, whether it's taking a walk, going shopping, watching a movie, whatever. So it is such a blessing to me that quality time is important to her. And so it always just makes my heart warm when she suggests stuff that involves us spending time together. :-) |
