so much to say

Besides being a popular Dave Matthews Song, "so much to say" is an adequate description for how I feel this morning.

What a wonderful weekend! Saturday morning Lea and I went on a breakfast date. We just sat and talked (well, and ate of course); she told me about work stuff, I told her about a work thing I had the night before...sounds pretty simple, right. But you see, I loooovvvvvveeee talking about stuff, and I loooovvvvvveeee when Lea tells me about her thoughts and feelings on things, whether it's work, God, friendships - it's just the greatest feeling because it's like I get to be privy to the inner workings and thoughts of the woman I love (who, incidentally, is the most amazing woman in the world). All that to say, breakfast was really fun.

Oh, and we have talked in mentoring about how important it is to guys to feel approved of, respected, trusted, etc, etc. Well, Lea has been so intentional about doing that, and let me tell you, it makes me feel 10 feet tall. (In case you are wondering, in real life I'm only 6 feet tall - so I'm making the point that she makes me feel taller than I actually am because of how she supports and encourages me.) (Also, in case you are wondering, I am in an almost hyper-ish sort of mood because I am in such a great mood because I got to spend so much time with Lea this weekend and we just had so much fun and she is so sweet and adorable and loveable and I actually get to marry her!)

Ok, so where was I. Oh - after breakfast we ran a couple errands, then we went to her apartment and talked with Keeks for a little bit, and then we went over some of our marriage mentoring stuff. OH MY GOSH that was fun!!!!!!!! First of all, it involved more of us sharing our hearts with each other, and you know I loved that. And then, just getting to hear her thoughts and different things relating to marriage, to loving each other, etc, etc - that was fantastically cool. And it was really fun because we share a lot of the same beliefs about foundations in marriage, family stuff, love stuff (sorry, no details for you! :-) ).

Ok, so then we ran another errand - to go check out a place we might stay at before we leave for the honeymoon (sorry - no details for you!), and then we went to my parents for an early family Father's Day celebration. We had dessert and played a REALLY fun game that Lea bought - and now I'm blanking on the name - maybe Lea can post a comment and tell you what it's called.

Sunday morning we went to church together, and that was really good. Sunday afternoon we went and checked out another place we might stay (no details!); we also checked out their pools! It was very relaxing and very fun! Then we went and watched a movie with our home group - I love our home group. After that, we did a little car maintenance on Kristy's car (long story), and then called it a night. What an awesome weekend - I can't even tell ya. I mean, I sort of just did, but it doesn't even do justice to it. :-)

And in three days we get to go to Nebraska!!!!!!!!
